A man has been charged following the theft of an ATM in Co Antrim.

Two men aged 31 and 26 were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a digger was used to rip a cash machine from the wall of service station at Nutts Corner.

Police were alerted to the incident after they received calls from members of the public.

The 31-year-old man has been charged with theft and other offences and will appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court on Wednesday morning.

The 26-year-old man remains in police custody.
