Man charged over Britain First rally in Belfast
A man has been charged over a speech given at a Britain First rally held in Belfast in the summer.
The 55-year-old was arrested in Liverpool on Thursday.
He is set to appear in Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 on charges of using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour. As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges are in relation to speeches made at the Northern Ireland Against Terrorism Rally on Sunday August 6.
Around 50 people gathered outside Belfast City Hall for the event.
Also charged over the event were Britain First leaders Paul Golding and Jayda Fransen. They too have court dates for the new year.
