Man charged over speeches at Northern Ireland Against Terrorism Rally
A 59-year-old man has been charged in relation to speeches made at the Northern Ireland Against Terrorism Rally in 2017.
The man was arrested in the Doncaster area on Sunday on suspicion of a number of public order offences by officers from South Yorkshire Police working with PSNI detectives from Musgrave.
He is the fourth person to be arrested and charged in relation to speeches made at the rally on Sunday August 6 2017.
The 59-year-old was subsequently transferred to Belfast and charged by detectives from PSNI’s Criminal Investigation Branch with using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday February 16.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
