Man charged with attempted murder after woman stabbed at her Belfast home
A man was remanded in custody today accused of trying to kill a woman during a break-in at her home in Belfast.
The 26-year-old victim suffered multiple stab wounds in the attack at Glenrosa Link on Tuesday morning.
Adam Ingram, 20, of Deacon Street in the city, appeared before Belfast Magistrates' Court on charges connected to the knifing.
He faces counts of attempted murder and aggravated burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.
It is alleged that Ingram entered the woman's home as a trespasser armed with a knife.
He was connected to the charges during a brief hearing but made no bail application.
Ingram was remanded in custody to appear again by video-link on September 25.
The victim remains in a stable condition after being taken to hospital.
