Man charged with carrying imitation firearm after Killinchy incident
A 29-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences including carrying an imitation firearm in a public place following an incident in Killinchy, over the weekend.
A man was spotted carrying what was described as a firearm in the Co Down town in the early hours of Sunday.
Police later seized knives and a handgun, believed to be a blank firing pistol.
The man will appear in Newtownards Magistrates' Court on Monday morning. As is usual procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
