Man charged with directing terrorism after 'dissident republican' probe

A man has been charged with directing terrorism in Northern Ireland.

He was detained in West Belfast on Friday as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.

The suspect, 39, is also accused of membership of a proscribed organisation.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court tomorrow, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said.
