Man charged with drugs offences after Derry raids

A man has been charged with drugs offences following searches in Londonderry over the weekend.

Drugs, including Class A and prescription medication were seized alongside phones cash and drugs paraphernalia in searches in the Crawford Square and Carnhill areas on Sunday.

A 29-year-old man was arrested. He has been charged with possession of Class A, B and C drugs, possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, possession of criminal property and assault on police.

He will appear in court on Tuesday.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
