Man charged with having knife in public place after disturbance in Carrickfergus

A 26-year-old man has been charged with possessing a knife in a public place after a disturbance in Carrickfergus
Two men were arrested after reports of a man with a knife in the town on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened in the Victoria Street area.
Officers attended and arrested two men aged in their 20s.
The 26-year-old man has now been charged with possessing an article with a blade or a point in a public place.
He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on July 22.
A 24-year-old man has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
