Man charged with spate of burglaries
An alleged serial burglar has been charged with 30 offences after a number of homes in Newtownabbey were targeted.
The 29-year-old man is accused of a crime spree including 11 counts of burglary, 18 counts of attempted burglary and one count of possession of a class B controlled drug. He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrate's Court on Thursday 3 November over the 29 homes that were targeted during a three-week period.
Detective Inspector Chris Millar said: "This spate caused a large amount of understandable concern in the community and I am delighted that police officers were able to make the arrest on the Shore Road on Thursday."
