Man critical after fall from apartment in Donaghadee

By Eamon Sweeney

A man in his 20s who fell from an apartment window was last night still fighting for his life in a Belfast hospital.

The incident occurred in Donaghadee in the early hours of Monday morning.

The man, named locally as Graham Brown, was found lying unconscious in the High Street of the Co Down town at around 2.30am.

He was taken to the intensive care unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital and a spokesperson for the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust last night said he remained in a critical condition.

It is understood that he had been attending a party at the apartment when the fall took place.

UUP councillor Mark Brooks said: "There has been a lot of social activity around the flat. It has been noticed locally. Everyone would be aware that there had been a lot of activity there."

The PSNI has appealed for anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
