Man cut from car after it overturns in Broughshane

A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being cut from a car in Broughshane.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service was called to the scene in the Main Street area where a car had overturned just after midnight on

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue crews attended from Ballymena and Antrim.

The man was trapped in the vehicle and the NIFRS worked with hydraulic cutting equipment and air mats.

The crew managed to get him out after around 30 minutes.

He was then taken to Antrim Area Hospital in a stable condition.

Alan O'Neill group commander for NIFRS Lisburn issued a general reminder for people to "slow down and take extra due care and attention at this time of year".
