Man denies murdering footballer cousin
A Co Down man has denied murdering his cousin - former Irish league footballer David Mills.
John Stanley Foster (31) pleaded not guilty to killing him on September 30, 2012 at Downpatrick Crown Court, sitting in Belfast.
Mr Mills, who was 47, suffered serious head injuries after he was attacked in Dromore Street, Ballynahinch, in the early hours and although taken to hospital in a critical condition, subsequently died from his injuries
Following the short hearing on Friday Foster, from Corrigs Road in Newcastle, was released on continuing bail until his trial which is due to be heard in November.
