Man dies after crash between tractor and 4x4 on Moneymore to Cookstown carriageway

A man in his 60s has died following a collision between a tractor and a 4x4 vehicle close to Moneymore.

It happened at 9.30 am on the Moneymore to Cookstown dual carriagway.

The man was the driver of a tractor involved in a collision with a blue Honda 4x4 vehicle.

The male driver of the Honda was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

The Moneymore to Cookstown duel carriageway remains closed to traffic.

Police have advised motorists that diversions are in place.

All emergency services are at the scene, about one-and-a-half miles from Moneymore.

Inspector Keith Hicks is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact local Police in Cookstown or the Collision Investigation Unit in Steeple Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
