Man dies and another is in critical condition after motorcycle accidents in Fermanagh and Lisburn

The men were involved in separate motorcycle accidents in Co Fermanagh and Co Antrim.

A man was killed and another is in critical condition in hospital following motorcycle crashes in Fermanagh and Lisburn on Saturday.

At around 7.50 am on Saturday a man in his 20s died after a collision with a silver Hyundai Coupe on the Knockmore Road in Lisburn.

It happened close to the junction with the Causeway End Road.

The man who was driving the car was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Shortly before 4.50pm on Saturday man in his 40s was critically injured in another crash in Co Fermanagh.

His black coloured Kawasaki motorcycle hit a blue coloured Vauxhall Vectra on the A4 road between between Lisbellaw and Tamlaght.

The male motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries that are described as critical.

Inspector Hicks appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the A4 between Lisbellaw and Tamlaght around the time of the collision to contact police in Enniskillen Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
