Man dies in Northern Ireland house fire


Fire service personnel attended the scene.

A man has died in a house fire in Enniskillen.

A fire broke out in the bedroom at the Drumgay Close home at around 8.30am on Thursday.

Four fire engines were sent to the scene and firefighters entered the house wearing breathing apparatus and using thermal imaging technology.

A Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Two fire appliances from Enniskillen Fire Station, one from Irvinestown Fire Station and one from Lisnaskea Fire Station were deployed to the scene.

"Firefighters dealt with a fire in a bedroom of the house using breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras. Tragically, one man was found deceased in the property.

“Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service remain at the scene. There are no further details at this stage.”
