A man arrested in Liverpool has been charged with 12 fraud and theft offences targeting the elderly in Northern Ireland.
The suspect, 28, was detained in Merseyside on Friday.
Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) detective sergeant Mark Bell said: "A 28-year-old male has been charged with 12 offences linked to distraction thefts and fraud between the dates of 2nd May and 23rd June this year in which elderly members of the community have been targeted."
It followed extensive investigations by detectives from the force's Crime Support Team. The offences involving distraction thefts and frauds happened across Northern Ireland.
He is due to appear at Laganside Magistrates' Court in Belfast on Monday, police said.
