Man found unconscious with serious head injuries in Belfast

A man in his 30s was found unconscious with serious head injuries and leg wounds in Belfast on Sunday.

Police at Woodbourne received reports shortly after 6am that the man had been found in the Springfield Road/Crocus Street junction area of the city.

He is being treated in hospital for his injuries.

Inspector Paul Noble said: "These wounds would be consistent with being knocked down by a car and that is one line of enquiry police are following.

"I am appealing that anyone with information contact 101 quoting reference 349 11/03/18. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
