Man holds up Dunmurry shop with knife

Police are investigating after a man armed with a knife held up a Dunmurry shop.

It happened in the Kingsway area on Wednesday at about 7.20am.

The man entered the shop and after threatening a male member of staff with the weapon fled with a sum of cash.

He is described as aged between 25 and 30 years old and 5'9" in height. He wore a green and blue hooded coat, grey trousers and black coloured footwear. He was carrying a white plastic bag at the time.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 161 10/05/17 or provide information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
