One man was hospitalised after two men were assaulted by a gang in Belfast in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The attack happened at around 3am in the Waring Street area.

Police said one of the pair suffered a fractured eye socket in the assault, requiring hospital treatment.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Dave Steward said: "Enquiries are continuing and anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information or may have mobile phone footage is asked to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 151 of 13/04/19.”
