Man in hospital with 'serious head wound' after serious assault in Coleraine

A 27-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment to a serious head wound following a serious assault in Coleraine.

Shortly after 10pm police responded to a report of a fight between a group of people on the Castlerock Road on Sunday May 24.

A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment as a result of the incident.

Detective Sergeant Brennan is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have any information which they believe may assist with the investigation to contact Detectives at Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
