A man has been arrested for drugs and assault offences after two members of an ambulance crew were attacked.

The incident happened at approximately 6.50am yesterday in the Knockleigh Drive area of Greenisland.

"He also caused damage to the ambulance, including smashing a windscreen and damaging a defibrillator.
