Man left shaken after masked gang ransack Randalstown home

A man has been left shaken after a gang of masked men ransacked his home in Randalstown.

It happened in the Thornleigh Park area on Tuesday November 22.

At around 8.30pm a number of masked men forced entry into the house, threatened the male resident and demanded money.

One of the men brandished a gun.

The gang then ransacked the house before making off with a legally held shotgun.

The male resident was not harmed but left badly shaken.

Detective Inspector Millar said: “I would appeal for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area of Thornleigh Park on Tuesday evening or who has any information which could assist us with our enquiries to contact detectives in Antrim on 101 quoting reference number 676 24/11/16.

"Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
