Man pulled trousers down near children watching parade

A "half-naked" man lying on a Ballymena street during this year's Black Saturday parade in the town pulled down his trousers on a number of occasions while children were nearby, a court has been told.

David James Desy Skinner (19), of James Street, Coleraine, pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly behaviour and resisting a police officer at Clonavon Terrace, just yards from Ballymena PSNI station, at 2.30pm on August 27.

After some of the facts were outlined, District Judge Des Perry told a prosecutor he had heard enough for the case to warrant a pre-sentence report being prepared.

Defence barrister Francis Rafferty said his client was in breach of a suspended sentence for a similar offence.

The case was adjourned until October 27.
