Man questioned over 1976 murder
A man has been arrested for questioning about a murder in Northern Ireland 36 years ago.
He was detained in south Belfast, not far from Derriaghy where William Palmer, 50, a Protestant, was shot at his Milltown Road home in June 1976. He died three days later in hospital.
The man, aged 55, was detained on suspicion of murder, possessing a firearm and membership of the IRA.
He was taken to the serious crime suite at Antrim police station for questioning.
