Man quizzed over 1993 IRA murder in Co Tyrone freed
A 49-year-old man was questioned yesterday by detectives investigating an IRA murder 25 years ago.
Father-of-four Matthew Boyd (60) was shot dead on January 11, 1993 near Dungannon in Co Tyrone.
The suspect was arrested in Belfast yesterday and taken to Musgrave PSNI Station for questioning.
He was released last night unconditionally.
Mr Boyd was discovered slumped over the steering wheel of his Red Vauxhall Astra Estate car on the Donaghmore Road, outside the town.
He had been shot twice by his attackers.
The creamery worker was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries but passed away later that evening.
The PSNI said: "Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the area on the day in question and who witnessed the murder or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact them in the Legacy Investigations Branch on 101."
