Man receives head injuries in Antrim hammer attack - two arrested

A man aged in his 20s received head injuries after he was attacked with a hammer in Kells, Co Antrim.

It happened in the Glenaan Park area at around 7pm on Sunday.

The victim is not believed to have sustained any life threatening injuries, police said.

Two men aged 20 and 24 were arrested and remain in police custody. Another man, aged 41, was arrested for assault and obstructing police. He is set to appear in Ballymena Magistrates' on April 6.

Police are appealing for information.
