A 48-year-old man arrested in Londonderry in connection with a paramilitary-style shooting has been released.

The 33-year-old victim was shot "by appointment" in the Lisfannon Park area of the Bogside at 9.30pm on August 8. He sustained four gunshots wounds in the attack.

The arrested man was detained in Derry earlier on Tuesday and was taken to the Serious Crime Suite for questioning.  He was released on Thursday.

A 32-year-old man was earlier arrested and released as part of the probe into the shooting.
