Man shot in the head with air gun at Co Fermanagh marina

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the head with an air gun in Co Fermanagh on Friday night.

The incident occurred in the area of Lochside Marina, Sligo Road, Enniskillen, whilst the male was on the water between 10.10pm and 10.20pm.

While the male is expected to make a full recovery police have said that they would wish to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the use of any firearm, including pellet guns, carries a huge responsibility, and should not be carried on land without the landowners permission.

There is also massive potential to cause injury to others if they are not treated with respect, even if it is unintentional.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information regarding this incident, please call 101 quoting reference number 780 26/05/18.
