
A man has been shot in the thigh and stomach during a gun attack in west Belfast.
Police are investigating the shooting in Clonfadden Crescent which happened on Friday.
A spokesman said one man was taken to hospital with injuries to his thigh and stomach.
It comes after another man shot in both legs during a paramilitary style gun attack in the St James's area on Monday night.
SDLP councillor Tim Attwood said his thoughts were with the young victim of a "gruesome attack".
"There is no place for this kind of savage brutality in our city," he said.
"These thugs continue to carry out their ‘punishment’ attacks under the cover of darkness.
