Man shot in thigh in west Belfast

A man has been injured in a gun attack in west Belfast.

The 27-year-old was shot in the thigh at about 7.35pm on Monday.

The incident happened at an alleyway between Ross Road and Balkan Street.

The police said a man was seen running towards Balkan Street following the incident.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment on his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
