Man suffers 'serious injuries' after being struck by car in Belfast


A man has been left with serious injuries after he was struck by a car in the Rosetta area of Belfast.

Police in east Belfast are appealing for information after the incident happened at Knock Eden Parade in the early hours of Monday June 1.

At around 2.40am the man aged in his 30s was struck by a car leaving him with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A man in his 50s was arrested a short time late in relation to the incident and remains in custody helping with enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Dolores Black said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Knock Eden Park and who witnessed this incident or who has any information which may assist us with our enquiries to call detectives at Musgrave on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
