A man was taken to hospital yesterday after he was involved in a road crash in Belfast.

The Upper Newtownards Road in East Belfast was closed to traffic following the road traffic collision close to the Holywood Arches.

It was closed in both directions as police carried out their investigations.

The collision involving two cars was reported to police shortly before 10.30am yesterday.

One man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.
