Man taken to hospital after Larne motorcycle crash

A man has been taking to hospital after a motorcycle crash in Larne.

The single vehicle crash happened around 5.44pm on Kitcheners Avenue, near the Ballymena Road.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) despatched a rapid response paramedic and an emergency crew to the incident.

The Charity Air Ambulance also attended the scene with a HEMS crew on board.

After initial assessment and treatment at the scene the man was taken by a road ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital.

The Ballymena Road has reopened to traffic following the incident.
