Man tortured after Belfast street abduction - boiling water poured over hand

A man has been tortured after he was abducted off a Belfast street.

The man, aged in his 30s, was walking along Denmark Street around 1.30am on Friday morning when a car carrying three men stopped beside him.

He was attacked and forced into the car before being taken to another address. He was then beaten again and had boiling water poured over his hand.

The victim was then returned to Denmark Street suffering cuts and bruises to his head and body as a result. He also sustained burns to his right hand.

Detective Sergeant Sloan is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 227 of 12/05/17. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
