Man ‘tried to kill’ drinking partner

A man allegedly slashed a drinking partner's throat and threatened to kill him, a jury has heard.

Belfast Crown Court heard that James Moloney was drinking with two friends when there was a “trivial” fall-out.

Prosecuting lawyer Ian Tannahill alleged that James Patrick Collin (44) grabbed Mr Moloney from behind and cut his throat. The trial continues.
