The body of a man has been recovered from a river at the University of Ulster (UU) in Coleraine.

He was taken from the water near Cromore Road, behind a building on the campus, after he was discovered by staff on Tuesday morning, a UU spokesman said.

The PSNI are at the scene.

A UU spokesman said: "University of Ulster staff this morning discovered the body of a man at the rear of the Cavehill building on the campus.

"Police are investigating and we have no further details at present."
