Man's jaw broken during assault in Belfast

Police in Belfast are appealing for witnesses following an assault on the Castlereagh Road in the east of the city during the early hours of Sunday morning, on May 7.

A 31-year-old man was attacked outside licenced premises by an unknown male at 3am.

The man sustained a suspected fracture to his jaw during the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as being of heavy build and spoke with a Belfast accent.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Musgrave Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 330 of 07/05/17.
