Masked men break victim's arm in raid

A man sustained a suspected broken arm after four masked men stormed a house armed with sticks.

It happened at Irish Street in Killyleagh, Co Down, on Wednesday night at around 10.30pm when the gang entered the house and assaulted the two men inside with sticks.

A man in his 20s sustained a suspected broken arm and bruising to his leg, while a man in his 40s suffered a cut to his chin and bruising to his head.

Damage was also caused to an internal door and television.

A woman and her three children who were upstairs at the time were not injured. The males made off on foot.

Detective Sergeant Bell appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or can assist with the investigation to contact detectives in Ardmore Police Station on 101 quoting reference 1470 of 28/02/18.
