Not only did he introduce them, but now singing sensation Ed Sheeran will also perform at the wedding of actress Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid.

Matchmaker Ed introduced the former Friends star to Londonderry-born Snow Patrol rocker and fiancé Johnny (39) in 2013 and will now play a key role in their forthcoming nuptials.

Speaking to The Sun, Courteney (51) said: "We are certainly grateful to Ed for introducing us.

"I can't imagine him not playing something at the wedding. It'll be a musical night."

The big day is set to be a musical extravaganza with a host of celebrities lined up to perform.

Even though there is no set date or location for the wedding, the planning is well advanced. Courteney and her ex-husband David Arquette's 11-year-old daughter Coco is also likely to perform on the day.

Courteney added: "I could request something, but I actually wouldn't have a choice.

"That kid loves to sing. Everything from Barbra Streisand to Cee Lo.

"She's actually really, really talented. Coco sang a song for the film I directed called Just Before I Go, and she's amazing."

And on the date, Courteney said: "We're in no rush, but we'd like to do it sometime soon. Coco can't wait to be a bridesmaid."
