Medication stolen by knife-wielding burglars in Derry

Police have appealed for information after knife-wielding burglars broke into a house in Londonderry and stole medication.

The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the Galliagh Park area of the city.

Detective Sergeant Moore said “It was reported that shortly after 1.00 am that two men entered an address and threatened the occupant with a knife before making off with cash and medication. 

"Two males aged 23 and 24 were arrested a short time later and are currently in custody."

Anyone with information about the incident is  asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting the reference 54 with the date 01/05/18.

Alternatively, information can be provided to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
