Men armed with machete break into Belfast home

Two men armed with a machete and knife broke into a Belfast home and made off with a sum of money on Tuesday night.

Detectives at Musgrave area appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in the Cambrai Street area.

It was reported that at 11:20pm entry was forced via the front of the property by two males armed with a machete and a knife. 

They then went on to threaten a woman before making off with a sum of cash in a green vehicle. 

The woman was uninjured but shaken as a result of the incident.

Detective Sergeant McPhillips said: "Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference CCS 1597 12/06/18.  Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
