Men charged over police car chase through west Belfast
Two men have been charged following a police car chase through west Belfast.
Officers were injured after they drove in pursuit of a grey Citroen C5 on Tuesday evening. It had been reported as stolen from a filling station on Stewartstown Road.
During the chase, on the Glen Road at about 6.15pm, the stolen car reversed into the police vehicle at speed, injuring two officers.
A stinger device was used to stop the vehicle, which was then abandoned in Suffolk Court.
On Wednesday police said one man had been charged with 14 offences including aggravated vehicle taking, burglary and driving when unfit.
Another has been charged with six offences including aggravated vehicle taking, burglary and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
They are due to appear before Lisburn Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
