Two men have been charged with attempted murder over the stabbing of a man in Belfast.

The pair, both aged 20, will appear in Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A third man, aged 21, has been charged with assault on police, criminal damage and disorderly behaviour.  He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 7.

The assault took place at about 7.45am on Saturday morning in Hatfield Street. The victim was treated in hospital for the stab wound. His condition was not thought to be life-threatening.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
