Messages of support for victim as £1k is donated

Well-wishers had last night donated more than £1,000 for the teenage victim of the attack.

They made pledges to an online fundraising page set up to show solidarity with her.

Dozens of people also posted messages of support from around the world on the girl's Facebook page.

Among the messages were:

"Thinkin of u... u r a beautiful person, didn't deserve what happened 2 u... if u need me I am here, xxx."

"Hope you get well soon x. Keep your chin up coz there's thousands of people behind you on this. You done nothing wrong at all..."

"Awful what u have went through, my heart totally broke for u an your family. Vile, vile people. Praying for your safe recovery beautiful."

"Love to you and your family we are all behind you."

"Sending u so much love from Dublin... I feel sick after watching that video."

"Hope you get better hun! Absolutely disgusting to happen to anyone ... if you need someone to talk to I'm here anytime xx."

"Sending my love and hope for a speedy recovery ... such a beautiful girl. I'm disgusted after watching that video, couldn't even watch it all..."

"I am so sorry for what has happened to you ... You will probably have a long road ahead of you to recover not only physically but mentally as well. The fact you got up and were able to walk away just shows how strong you are sweetie so please remember that strength as you go through recovery. Thousands are behind you..."

"You don't know me , just wanted to say you didn't deserve that at all ... be strong and be brave and recover from this and get stronger each day."
