The Met Office has issued a second yellow weather warning for snow and heavy rain in Northern Ireland on Saturday.

The latest weather warning will be in place between 2am on Saturday morning and 1pm meaning most of the day will be on alert.

On Thursday a weather warning was issued for snow between 4am until 9pm on Saturday.

A Met Office spokesperson warned that the weather could cause travel disruption due to spray and flooding on roads.

Bus services could also be affected by snow in places.

"Rain and snow will spread to Northern Ireland during the early hours of Saturday, clearing most areas late morning or lunchtime," a Met Office spokesperson said.

"Most of the snow is likely over hills in the north of Northern Ireland, with possibly up to 2-4 cm around some of the highest routes and towns - but even here it will probably turn to rain for a time.

"Elsewhere, 20 to 30 mm of rain in 12 hours may bring some flooding."
