Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Londonderry have been given another 36 hours to question a suspect.
The 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder in the wake of Christopher McGaughey's death in the early hours of Sunday.
The 56-year-old was attacked in the Hollymount Park area of Gobnascale.
A woman sustained minor injuries during the incident.
It is understood police are examining whether a domestic dispute triggered the stabbing.
A number of witnesses have apparently provided police statements.
Local priest Father Michael Canny said the victim was well known in the area and said people were devastated by the incident.
Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
