Mother and young children left 'very distressed' after Belfast robbery

Police appealing for taxi driver who may have dropped thieves off

Police said a mother and her two young children were left "very distressed" after a robbery at their south Belfast home.

A number of men forced their way into the home in Diamond Gardens at around 11pm on Thursday.

They threatened the woman before taking money and jewellery before making off in the family car, a Nissan X Trail.

Police have said they are particularly interested to hear from a taxi driver who may have dropped the men off on the street at around 10pm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101 or information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
