The funeral has taken place of a young motorcyclist from Co Londonderry who died in a crash last week.

Ross Willets (22), from Tobermore, was killed in a single vehicle crash on the Drumenny Road in Cookstown around 3.30am on Friday.

A funeral service was held at his family home yesterday before he was laid to rest in Calvary Free Presbyterian Churchyard.

He was described in a family notice as the dearly loved son of Sharon and step-son of Clark as well as the beloved grandson of Jeff and Ruth.

His father Tony Willets had also paid an emotional tribute to his "little soldier" on Facebook.

The family have requested any donations, if desired, for the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, payable to D. Watters (Donations A/c), 55 Main Street, Tobermore, Magherafelt BT45 5PP.
