Motorcyclist dies after colliding with car outside of Newry

A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car on the Castlewellan Road in the Cabra area of Co Down outside of Newry.

The crash happened at around 8.30pmon Saturday, and the 43-year-old motorcyclist died as a result of his injuries.

Speaking about the collision, Inspector Lynsey Barr said: "Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who has any information they believe could help them to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 1450 of 26/08/17."
