Ambulance teams were called out to two road traffic incidents last night.

A motorcyclist was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry for treatment following what police described as a serious collision between a bike and car outside Limavady.

He had earlier received first aid from Ambulance Service paramedics.

The PSNI said the Broad Road between Limavady and Coleraine was closed last night following the collision.

Diversions were put in place between Drumalief Road and Drumsurn Road.

Motorists were also asked to avoid area and seek alternative routes.

Elsewhere, at Hillsborough roundabout on the A1, three ambulance crews were dispatched as well as a rapid response paramedic following a collision between a bus and a car.

It's believed two women were injured in the incident, but there were no further details available last night.
